Though spring will officially arrive tomorrow, unfortunately, we still have to contend with the cold. What’s this yoga gal to do to deal with the stiffness with the constant cold? The Answer? A challenging poses to help relieve the stiffness throughout the body. With that in mind, allow me to introduce Skandasana or Side Lunge as the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week”. As many of you many have noticed, I have been including this pose more often throughout my sequences as it’s such a great pose to help relieve stiffness in the hips, hamstrings, shoulders, & back. Side Lunge can also strengthen & tone the thighs, ankles, knees, gluts, and hips while improving balance & core strength. With all these benefits, is it no wonder I chose Skandasana or Side Lunge as the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week” to continue to battle the ever constant cold?
