Summer is officially here! With it’s arrival, comes the height of beach season. Yay!!!! If you recall, in last week’s post, I had mentioned balancing poses are a great way to strengthen & stretch the body. They not only work the core that can help minimize belly fat, but can also be a full body workout. So to continue to get us ready for the beach, allow me to reintroduce Vasisthasana or Side Plank Yoga Pose as the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week”. This is such a great pose for strengthening the core & legs. Because you are balancing on one arm, not only does it strengthen the arms, shoulders, & wrist, it also improves balance & concentration. Adding up all these benefits, side plank is a truly full- body yoga pose. So this week, be prepared for a multitude of side planks to make its appearance when you least expect it.
