Where has autumn gone? Just when I was ready to snuggle into the warmth of my scarves and cozy sweaters, summer has decided to keep its hold onto the season. I won’t lie, though I am enjoying the beautiful weather, the continue warmth does give me pause of what this could mean. When this happens, I find that my mind tends to wander in all different directions become scattered. When this happens, the only thing I can do is to find a way to stay focus and grounded while keeping the body strong. So with that in mind, we return to Virabhadrasana III or Warrior III as the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week”. Warrior III is a great balancing yoga pose that can help strengthen the ankles, legs, shoulders, & muscles of the back. It also helps to tone the entire body, especially the abdomen, while improving posture, concentration & memory. Because we are balancing on one leg, we can allow ourselves to bring focus into our practice while staying grounded to the earth that can help quite the mind. With all these benefits, it is no wonder that I chose this pose to bring focus and balance to the week?
