Welcome to December & the season of Christmas soon to come with all its delicious treats. As I mentioned earlier, with another feast that’s just around the corner, let’s continue to prepare our bodies for the all that yummy goodness. With that said, “Yoga Tribute to Ourselves” continues with a series of strong poses with a twist that not only stretches the entire body but also work the abdominal organs to aid in digestion & elimination. Therefore, the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week” will be Parivrtta Trikonasana or Revolved Triangle Pose. Revolved Triangle is a great pose to stretch the hamstrings, IT band, groin & hips, while opening the chest & shoulders. As this is also a balancing pose with a deep twist, it helps to strengthen the thigh, hips & back muscles while giving relief to lower back pain, release stress and, improve concentration, balance & stability. So with all these great benefits, is this not a great pose to start off December as “Yoga Tribute to Ourselves” continues?
