Welcome to April & Wishing you all a Happy Easter & Passover!
I hope everyone has been enjoying this gorgeous weekend. Does this mean that spring has finally arrived? Sadly, I heard that we might be getting another snowstorm tomorrow. I don’t know about you, but this weather has slowly done a number to my own body, creating a great deal of tension, stiffness & poor circulation. So as we prepare for perhaps another storm to come, I can only think of one way to help bring relief to the stress on our bodies. Yep, that would be Baddha Konasana or Bound Angle Pose. This is a great pose to stimulate the heart and improve overall circulation throughout the body that can help to relieve tension, mild depression, anxiety, and fatigue. Not only does this pose stretches the inner thighs, groin, and knees, it also help to stimulate the abdominal organs, ovaries, prostate gland, bladder, and kidneys. Bound Angle Pose can also sooth menstrual discomfort and sciatica, relieve symptoms of menopause and be therapeutic for flat feet, high blood pressure, infertility and asthma. Phew, with all these benefits, it is no wonder I have chosen this pose to do battle with the possible storm? So join me this week as we bound our way to once again fight the cold.
