Join me in today’s Yoga for Athletes at 5pm @ Studio in the Heights, then off to tonight’s Vinyasa Level 1 class @ 7:30pm - 8:30pm at MBSY.
Reminder, Stretch’n Flow yoga class is on Mondays @ 6:30pm – 7:30 pm, Keystone Dance Studio @ 252 W. 30th St., #4B. There will be no class Stretch’n Flow class this Tuesday only.

Shoulders & hips, oh my! Have they been talking to you lately? Mine certainly has with this drastic change in weather. Not only that but I’ve noticed a considerable tightness in my hips from sitting at a desk for hours on end. These are the two most common areas of chronic pain & tension in today’s world, not to mention an area we tend to hold a lot of stress. Gomukhasana or Cow Face Pose is a great yoga pose that targets both the shoulders & hips. Not only does this pose helps to open the chest, it works to stretch the ankles, hips, thighs, shoulders, armpits & triceps. Cow Face Pose works to lengthen the back that can help treat sciatica, spinal pain, & stiffness. Done on a regular basis, this pose can help to stimulate & massage the reproductive organs. Finally, as this pose focuses on the hips & shoulders, it helps to relieve stress & depression. Join me this week as we work to ease stiffness & tension throughout our day.
