“Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.”
Are we already coming to the end of March? Can you believe that the yoga retreat is almost 2 months away? I can’t help but get excited as I think of returning to the Domaine de Mournac in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southwest France. My time there last year was truly transformative as I learned to slow down & reconnect with myself to find my balance while surrounded by the beauty & tranquility of the Pyrenees Mountains.
My experience there led to my desire to create more than a retreat from our daily lives but a cultural experience as we revitalize our bodies with daily yoga, and replenish our souls as we partake in the delicious foods & wines of the area. We will enjoy deliciously prepared meals, locally sourced, by our own personal retreat chef, who will take us on a culinary tour each day. Most meals will be vegetarian with a few exceptions for dinner. Of course there will be wine & dessert during dinner & how can we not be in France with having croissants? Therefore, fresh pastries shall be delivered to the retreat from local boulangerie on alternate mornings with our breakfast. We will enjoy the region’s delicacies as we visit the Sunday market, sample the delicious wines from the local vineyard, and relax the mind with an hour-long massage. We will explore the mysteries of the region as we tour Rennes Les Chateau & Puilarens Castle, & discover the beauty of the area as we hike up to Mont Sec. If you are looking for quiet relaxation, spend an afternoon of quiet time in a hammock or by the pool, or linger amidst the vines or through the woodland that surrounds the property. All activities are included in the price. I look forward to having you join me at this magical place. Contact me for additional info & special offers. Space is limited.
P.S. I will also be teaching yoga at the New York Road Runners’ Run Center this Sunday, March 31st @ 11am-noon. Class is free! Register here:
