Can you believe it’s already the middle of October? Autumn is definitely upon us. I was just away to visit the quaint little town of Cold Springs, NY. It was glorious to be surrounded with the colors & aromas of autumn. Not only that but the many store windows were festive in decorations for the upcoming Halloween. Wherever I walked, I could no help think that the whole town was in homage to the autumn season. With that in mind, I think of how we continue to play homage to the warrior, especially with one variation in mind, Archer’s Pose, a Virabhadrasana II or Warrior II variation. Sometimes also refered to as Hero’s Pose, this is a powerful pose that not only strengthens the entire body & improve circulation, but helps to improve focus, strength of will, and courage. Whenever I do this pose, I feel incredibly powerful & it helps me to refocus my goals, especially as I continue to finalize the details of my next upcoming “Vin & Vinyasa” yoga retreat at the Bastide Avellane in the Cote d’Azur region of the South of France.
