Hi Everyone,

Spring has arrived with a whirlwind of activity. Lately, I have been sitting at my desk a lot, working on the computer. Whether it has been designing a playlist, yoga sequence, writing or updating my website, a lot of sitting has been taking place. I don’t know about you, but it has certainly created a lot of tightness around my hips. What to do???? The answer? Work on opening & strengthening the hips! Yep, you’ve guessed it, the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week” will be the return of Eka Pada Rajakapotasana or Pigeon Yoga Pose. This is a truly great hip opening yoga pose that opens the hip flexor & rotator muscles, psoas, & groin. It can also relieve sciatic nerve tension & lower back pain, & stretch the front & back leg. It can also be a pose to relieve a lot of stress as the hips are thought to be an area we tend to hold emotion & tension. So be prepare, though we will be working on opening the hips, don’t be surprise to find some muscular strengthening added in to keep things interesting.

Wednesday:

Mind Body Soul Yoga

6:00pm – 7:15pm: Vinyasa Level 2 (subbing March 1- April 19th)
