Staying strong with a twist…

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to November! BRRRRRRRRRR… It has certainly taken a turn to the freezing this past weekend. This drastic change has done a number on my body causing my muscles to tense up. Let’s also not forget that Halloween had just past with all its yummy treats & more to come as this is the season of many more yummy goodness to come. So I’d like to continue with a series of strong poses to keep the body warm & incorporates twist that not only stretches the entire body but also work the abdominal organs to aid in digestion & elimination. One pose in particular that comes to mind is Revolved Crescent Lunge. This is great pose to open up the hip flexors & quads while improving posture by awakening the spine & back muscles to ease tension in the back, neck & shoulders. This yoga pose not only helps to improve balance & stamina, the twisting motion also assist in detoxifying the body by stimulating the blood to flow through the organs of the kidneys, liver & spleen while helping to improve digestion. So join me this week as we continue to strengthen the body & prepare the body for the next round of yummy goodness to come.
