Hi Everyone,

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of requests for hips, hamstrings & lower back. It’s no wonder with this constant shift in temps & the cold hitting us so suddenly. Let’s also not forget that Thanksgiving is just around the corner with all its yummy goodness. As many of you may have noticed, I have incorporated a lot of sequences to stretch & open the hips to help combat this season of constant change as well as twist to work the spine & aid in digestion. Just as last year, with the season of yummy goodness soon upon us, I’d like to continue with a series of strong poses that incorporates twist that stretches the entire body & work the abdominal organs to aid in digestion & elimination. One pose, in particular, is Parivrtta Trikonasana or Revolved Triangle. Revolved Triangle is a great pose to stretch the hamstrings, IT band, groin & hips, while opening the chest & shoulders. As this is also a balancing pose with a deep twist, it helps to strengthen the thigh, hips & back muscles while giving relief to lower back pain, release stress and, improve concentration, balance & stability. So with all these great benefits, is this not a great pose to continue our season of twists?
