Breaking news!!!!! I will be teaching a Ginga Fun Workshop, a mix of yoga & capoeira for the family, at Our Savior of Atonement Church at 178 Bennett Ave. on Saturday, May 20th at 2-3:30 pm. Stay tuned for more updates.

Hi Everyone,

I don’t know about you but the constant change in weather this week, from warm & humid to cold & rainy, has certainly done a number on my shoulders. Not to mention, my allergies have been acting up, causing my chest to feel constricted. What to do? Work with a pose that can help up open up the entire front body. With that said, the “Feature Yoga Pose of the Week” will be Urdhva Dhanurasana or Upward Bow/ Wheel. Upward Bow/Wheel is a great pose that not stretches the chest & lungs, but also strengthens the arms, wrist, legs, buttocks, abdomen, & spine. It can also help increase energy & counteract depression. Lastly, it can be therapeutic for asthma, back pain, infertility & osteoporosis, while stimulating the thyroid & pituitary. So join me this week, as we work on opening up our bodies to fight the unpredictability of the climate.
