Let’s continue to move slow & steady…

Hi Everyone,

The heat has returned… I hope everyone has been staying cool & not overexerting. As much as we’d like to go full force with summer activities, sometimes taking things slow & steady can be the best remedy for the stifling heat & keep the body moving.

Some of you may have noticed that I have been slowing things down a bit in my classes & have been including postures that really work to stretch the IT band. While I was away traveling, I had spent hours hiking the countryside, & walking throughout the city. As wonderful as it was to explore, I noticed that my knees began to bother me. It was then that I realized that my IT band was becoming extremely tight from all the running around I was doing. I also realized how often I tend to neglect to stretch that area in favor of other areas of my body, such as hips & shoulders. Though hips & shoulders is an area we tend to hold a lot of tension, knee pain caused by tightness in the It band can also hinder movement. So with that thought in mind, I will continue to take things slow & steady, as I give special attention to the IT band to keep the body moving. I hope to see you in class!

In the meantime, if you also wish to follow my adventures in Spain & France, I have been steadily working on updates to my website & Instagram as I continue to share photos & more details of my travels. There will also be sneak peaks to the other wonderful retreat locations that I had that opportunity to explore for possible retreats for 2020. So stay tuned for more details to follow…

P.S. I will be subbing an additional class at MBSY.

P.S.S. I will once again be subbing at Bread & Yoga this Saturday & Sunday morning. See schedule below.
