Hi Everyone,

Has spring finally arrived? I can’t help think of what the new season will bring. As many of you may know, I have been incorporating a lot of balancing postures this month in honor of the #BalanceforBetter campaign. When it comes to balancing postures, I won’t lie, there are times when I still them extremely difficult. I would start get frustrated with myself and then end up falling all over the place. When this happens, I have to remind myself that it’s not about doing the most perfect pose, but allowing myself to stay grounded & focus as I listen to how my body feels at that particular moment. Balancing postures can be a great reminder to myself to allow myself to be present. So with that said, I would like to end this month’s #BalanceforBetter theme with one of the most challenging balancing postures, at least for me, Utthita Hasta Padangustasana or Extended Hand to Toe Yoga Pose? This is a great pose to improve balance, strengthen hips, core, legs feet, & stretch the back of the legs. This pose also helps to stabilize the ankles while helping to build focus & confidence. So join me this week as we continue to stay open as we find our balance.
