HAPPY FATHER’S DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I am currently out of town celebrating the weekend away with my dad, the fabulous Meghan Howard will be subbing my Vinyasa Level 1 class @ 7:30pm - 8:30pm at Mind Body Soul Yoga @ 350 Fort Washington Ave this evening.

Reminder, Stretch’n Flow yoga class is on Mondays & Tuesdays @ 6:30pm – 7:30 pm, Keystone Dance Studio @ 252 W. 30th St., #4B.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a lovely Father’s Day. I don’t know about you, but my dad has always been a grounding force for me. I can’t tell you how many times as a small child I would jump in the air ready to fly (…because I thought I had superpowers), only to have my dad catch me in his arms & bring me back to the earth. Whenever I would go off the deep end with some zany idea, he’d be the first to ask how I plan to do it. He was the one to teach me how to pay bills, balance a checkbook & maintain records when I was just a pre-teen. Of course, he was not perfect by any means, but it was his lessons & influence that have always kept me grounded & helped make me who I am today. So in honor of those dads who allows us to fly while lending a grounding support, I will forego the “Feature Yoga Pose” for this week. Instead this week will focus on a variety of balancing poses that can keep us grounded. As many of you may know, balancing poses can offer many benefits physically as well as mentally. Not only do we learn to strengthen & stretch our muscles, we also learn to find our sense of gravity by rooting certain limbs to the ground. While in balancing poses, we also learn to focus our attention in order to stay steady & present in the moment. So be prepared as we balance out this entire week with yoga poses that will help us stay focus & grounded as we take flight.
